The Mindfulness Trend
In my opinion, one of the best things that has come to forefront of the psychology world is the increased awareness of what is known as "mindfulness". I am still learning it myself and if you come to my office it will be one of the first things that I share with you. We live in a fast-paced and electronic age which pings our brain constantly. I fear we miss a lot if we do not slow down and live in the present with awareness and appreciation for the moment. Here are some helpful links that explain mindfulness and provide resources for practice as well. Check it out and "be mindful"! And of course "there is an app for that". My favorites are CALM and ABIDE (contains guided Christian meditations).

The Emotionally Destructive Marriage by Leslie Vernick, LMFT - if you are struggling in your couple relationship and feel you have lost your voice and/or feel live you are losing yourself and something must change, this book helps identify how you might need to change.
The Joy of Now Journal is a great mindfulness journal that provides creative prompts and exercises towards becoming more intentional in your life.
Any of the Boundaries books by Cloud and Townsend help you develop healthy relationships.
